Thompson's Kitchen - Port Sulphur

I only have one issue: the prices for alcoholic drinks are too high! I understand the need to make a profit, but $9.00 for a house drink seems excessive. However, the food is really good and the portions are generous. My brother's friend visits a few times a week and is always satisfied! The crab was flavorful and tender, which is impressive since I'm usually not a big fan of seafood—yet I ended up eating a lot! The service was excellent as well. The place is quite small, with only 5 or 6 tables and a lovely bar that seats about 8. I recommend you go and enjoy the company of great people!

I had the seafood plate. Some of the best oysters I've had for years. Both the grilled and fried were great. The Dr. Pfeffermix was perfect with beautiful carbonization. AC was beautiful and cool on a hot day. The waiting staff was fast and polite, never had my drink dry. The onion rings were fresh and amazing, beautiful crisp lightbatters.

Excellent service! They offer an incredible seafood potato and a generous ribeye! I will definitely be returning!

The food was excellent and the service was friendly. I enjoyed the cooked shrimp, blue crabs, and charred oysters—everything was delicious and reasonably priced.

The definition of Southern Hospitality. Nice crowd of people there, I guess like attracts alike. I loved grilled shrimp salad (mind you, local shrimp! it was big portion and my favorite part was the lettuce. It wasn't those usual giant chunks, it was in a nicely shredded slices that allow you to compliment every bite with other parts of the salad. Salad was rich and had all the components balance present, very filling. Their crawfish is on point! Spicy enough not to loose the flavor of the meat, although did burned my lips a bit.
