Avaliação da contribuiçãoThe best chicken curry on this side of town or possibly in the world because I have never eaten better! It is so good that we get double so we can eat leftovers too! A meal for two is about $10 depending on what you get! All authentic cuisine and there is a large shop with lots of Southern Pacific produce and grocery items there too. It is hard to do their food justice in a photograph. Absolutely delicious!
This is a large sized Indian store with a huge selection of groceries, traditional clothes, an authentic Indian kitchen of entrees prepared by the owner herself. She is an excellent cook. The indoor seating was closed due to Covid. Larger grocery section, authentic island bakery items in the fridge and freshly made in the am. Her Hawaiian food was loved by my mother in law who doesn’t like anything other than meat and potatoes. She even had excellent quality Carrom boards for sale, and it brought back memories when my uncles and cousins taught me how to play it. My kids love to play on rainy days…
Great place to grab Indian takeout. The chicken tikka masala is great! It’s a buffet-type takeout spot with no place to sit though.
I don’t know why everyone is so hard on this place. Great selection of Indian specialty foods, a great place to stock up on spices, coconut milk, curry mix and imported soaps. My go to when I need to stock up on these items.
This is where one can buy asian vegetables like bitter gourd, varieties of brinjals and green chillies, ladies fingers (okra and drumsticks (moringa , long beans and other greens. I go to Namaste bazzar to buy Curry Leaves. This is one place that always has Curry leaves. They have all asian spices (red chillie, tumeric powder, condiments and indian masala pre-packed. (They do not have Pandan leaves though. Try Lily market few blocks away, to buy frozen pandan leaves. They also have variety of Arnotts products (Australia like Tim Tam, shortbread biscuits (cookies . Powdered milk and Milo and Nido are available here. They also have a selection of frozen fish. They are very similar to salt water fish you find in Indian ocean. The Store staff are really good in accommodating if you only want to buy a few fish and not the pre-packaged bag. The store has a section serving Indian food and another section with traditional clothing. These are items I usually shop. There are many other indian snacks, grains, canned fish (Jack Mackerel and teas available.
