Avaliação da contribuiçãoFore Street is an EXPERIENCE! It provides elevated food from land, air and sea. There is something for everyone. Their food and dining experience was well worth the wait. I would recommend making reservations far in advance. Everything was cooked to perfection starting with bread (Standard Baking Co. and ending with the Key Like Pie. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. I would highly recommend Fire Street for a date night or special occasion. Also, check their sister locations of Scales and Street Co.!
When I told my coworker I was visiting Portland for the first time they told me I needed to make sure to visit Fore Street. Per their instructions I went online the same day to make reservations and saw that they were full. The website suggests walk-ins are able to be accommodated starting 5pm. Luckily we were able to be seated within two hours (for a Sunday night that?s pretty great! . The staff was incredibly friendly, considerate of allergies, and informative of menuitems. The food was amazing, unfortunately I nor the photos can do it justice. You?re better off going and seeing for yourself.
If you haven't eaten at Fore Street do yourself a favor and make a reservation (do it well in advance as it fills up fast). This place is great...
WOW this was great! our waitress, Georgia, made it Great with her insight and recommendations.....I had the rabbit Dumplings my wife, Halibut we shared and both were great, yet so different from each other. the dessert was chocolate pudding heaven! Thank You Georgia! and the Cooks WOW!
We have eaten at Fore Street several times when we are visiting Maine and have always loved the food and ambiance. This time we ate at the bar since it was a last minute decision. The bartender, Doug was incredibly rude. I did not want to order my entire meal as I like to make sure everything is spaced out and sometimes I change my mind of what i;m in the mood for after my appetizer. However, Doug would not let us order any other way. We had not even finished our salad when our entrees arrived. Doug had an horrible attitude and didn’t even ask if we would like to see a dessert menu. The couple next to us barely left any tip due to Doug’s behavior towards a few of us. When you pay $200 for your meal you certainly don’t want to be rushed out in 1 hr. I rarely leave reviews but thought this warranted some effort.
