The chicken stew is only pre diced peas n carrots, and half of it is mashed potato, so don’t go there, stick with the sweet and savory tarts. And yes, we gfs are used to limited choices, but the cookies they do have are worth it too.
Peanut butter and Nutella cookie (gluten free) was spot-on. My wife tried the cranberry ginger iced tea and really liked it. Cozy and comfortable yet with high ceilings is a mix of old world charm and modern style. Bonus points for using biodegradable straws! Great place to stop in for a drink
This lunch was fabulous! My tomato, bacon, onion jam tart was waaaay better than I would ever expect from a museum cafe great filling in an exactly perfect crunchy corn crust. The accompanying salad was big, with fresh, dry (as in not damp and limpy) greens, tomatoes, and cukes; it had just the right amount of balsamic dressing. My meal came out quickly ,and the dining area is clean and comfortable. Great meal, great price!
Tucked inside the art studios along the Salmon Falls River, Figtree serves a variety of delicious sandwiches, wraps and daily specials, all freshly made. A couple of my favorites are the buffalo chicken wrap and the veggie quesadilla. If you find yourself in this quiet gem of a town, this is the ideal lunch spot.
Bought great pastries from these people at the Portsmouth Farmers' Market
