Avaliação da contribuiçãoFor many years now we have been satisfied customers of Grainfields. Our latest visit was June 19, 2017. Things have changed. We were seated fairly promptly and our waitress came to the table shortly afterwards. From that point on service went downhill. It was a while before our order was taken and quite some time before our food arrived. The waitress even came by once and commented "Oh are you still waiting". She had not brought us any food yet so this seemed a rather redundant observation! The meal itself was satisfactory although not great. Once the meal was delivered to the table we never had another visit from the waitress and ended up standing at the cash register waiting for our bill. This is certainly not the service we expected from this restaurant and will not be back anytime soon. We also noted that even though we were there at 12:00 noon there were not many other patrons. It seems quite a few others must have received similar service.
This was a trial visit for us and we were exceptionally impressed with the service, food and pricing. The decor is a little dated but the facility was clean. After this visit we went back a week later to try the breakfast menu and our opinion is still the same. Will be using on a regular basis in future
We stopped in for breakfast before our sons volleyball tournament because the continental breakfast in our hotel was so poor. We were surprised this restaurant only opened at 7:30am! We were the first at the door. The waitress was pleasant and food was hot and tasty. Great for family breakfast or brunch!
My wife and I were travelling from Saskatoon to visit family in a small farming community approx. 60 minutes North-East of Prince Albert. We decided to stop for an early lunch break in Prince Albert and went to Grainfields at approx. 11:30 am Sunday, Nov. 20th. This Grainfields is located at the intersection corner of 15th Street and 6th Avenue. This restaurant was probably 90% full when we arrived but we were met quickly by the host at the door and seated quite quickly. He asked what we would like to drink and provided us with coffee and advised us that the waitress would be with us shortly; 3 to 4 minutes passed and the waitress was at our table asking if were ready to order. We ordered the following:- Spouse: California Wrap (turkey, avocado, tomato, etc.) with a Greek salad.-Myself: Philly Cheese Steak with French Fries.Because of the volume of people that were at the restaurant we thought we would have to wait a longer time for our meals but they did come out reasonably quickly. In the meantime, our coffee cups were regularily filled/topped-up.The following is noted:-Food: Well prepared and tasty.-Service: Prompt and Courteous.-Cost: High average. We would consider stopping here again to eat if going through this city.
Tonight, I was served what I consider, quite possibly, the absolute worst meal I've had in years! I ordered Liver and Onions (one of my favourite meals, even though others may turn up their nose at my choice). The liver was like sawing through boot leather and the vegetables were stone cold. I complained to the server, who offered to take it back and bring me another portion. I agreed. The replacement was, if anything, worse than the original. This is the second time I've been in this restaurant, and the second time I've been subjected to poor meals. Folks, do NOT go to this restaurant and expect a good meal. Travel a little further down the street and visit another establishment. Perhaps the cook was having a bad day, but two bad days, and both when I visit with my family is just too much of a coincidence.
