Cafe France - Progreso

One of our favorite places in Chelem! We’ve been coming here for a few years and it never disappoints. The food is outstanding, great atmosphere, and friendly people. Their croissant sandwiches are fresh and delicious. I ordered the bacon egg cheese and there was a TON of cheese! It also came with a side of guacamole. The chilaquiles, though those were amazing. We actually ordered a second plate after we inhaled the first My husband ordered a strawberry lemonade and it was a frozen drink, which was incredibly refreshing on a 90° morning. The service can be slow and they tend to be busy, but hey, it’s Mexico! Kick back, relax, and enjoy the sights. Definitely make this a priority stop for food if you’re in the area!

It takes a minute for the food to come out and it may not come out at the same time, so if you get yours first save some to enjoy with friends and family. Outstanding breakfasts, coffees and toasts. Both the “Bowl De Frutos Rojos” and “Bowl Piña y Chia” are amazeballs; extremely cold and extremely refreshing on a humid Yucatán afternoon. They also have some delicious antiox water drinks and vegetarian options on the menu. Great wait staff and food presentation every time we went, and a nice open air atmosphere right off Calle 19 (Yucalpetén-Chelem Road). Highly recommended for breakfast/brunch!

For a restaurant in Chuburna? I think 5 stars is fair, it was slow but when have you been to a French fast “French” place? lol

Amazing food here. The service is great and the server is very nice. The food is extremely cheap and tastes amazing. We came here multiple times during our stay in mexico. 1000/10 would recommend.
