Avaliação da contribuiçãoWe had decided to eat dinner after several days of fancier restaurants-give the palate and budget a rest. Well, we were 50% accurate. We saved money-but the food was great!!The decor and the plastic table cloths lead you to believe this is more like "street food". But it was delicious and beautifully presented.I had the brochettes (steak and shrimp). It came with the best steamed and seasoned mixed veggies I think I have ever had. Done perfectly. My husband had the shrimp burrito and it had massive amounts on shrimp-in fact, enough fell out that he then made tortillas out of them with the ones served with dinner. The food coming out was a little slow (by MX standards), but the guys might have been exhausted since it was cruise ship day (we weren't part of that).I would go back here.
This little street restaurant is right on the Malecon. The food is great, whether fish, seafood or ceviche. Within a week, we had 6 different meals there and it was better than the other nearby fish restaurants. In Progreso, this was the best ceviche we had and the portions were very large. Staff are really friendly, but not over the top like some joints trying to hustle gringos. We found the prices reasonable, unlike some other Malecon located businesses.
While in Progreso you have to eat fish and so we did. As a starter we had guacamole and as main course ceviche one grab and one mixto. They were so delicious. The portion size was big. It was a small place but worth every penny. We recommend this restauraunt. Service was good.
