California is the best. I would definitely come here again. Very flavorful and the drinks were amazing as well!
A unique take on sushi, the deep fried ones that I tried taste wonderful... The dark sweet and spicy sauce is my favorite along with the Chipotle mayo. For an appetizer, the Venezuelan cheese sticks wrapped in dough were great, and also taste good with the Chipotle mayo.
Not traditional sushi, and that's okay. It was a pleasant and refreshing break from the norm. The Quesito Spicy Roll was deep fried, with crab meat and steak inside, topped with melted mozzarella cheese. There were 4 sauce choices, all of which paired well with the roll, my favorite being the darker, sweet/spicy sauce. All in all, a yummy fusion of cultures wrapped into a sushi roll.
Visiting Utah for 2 weeks and this is the best food we've had. Incredible. We're from San Francisco where there are alot of fusion restaurants and we've never seen Mexican/Venezuelan sushi. The 3 ceviche dish was amazing. The shrimp tacos and California rolls were delicious. The marinated peppers and onions served as a side with everything are something. Even the french fries were unusually good and something I've never seen before and had great combo of sweet, spicy and vinegary. Highly recommend this place.
