This place is very popular so give yourself plenty of time to eat. We will be back to visit for lunch in a couple of days. Off to San Jose!
The location is awesome, the food good (what little we had) but.............the service.........WAS HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!! WE SAT THERE FOR OVER T-W-O HO-U-R-S!!!! Two hours 10 minutes to be exact. The waiter disappeared, vanished! We left without ever getting our entries. We had to cash out with another waitress.
We were on our way to San Jose and stopped here for lunch. Great location right on the beach. Service and food was excellent and reasonable.
Flaming ribs on a platter with jumbo prawns. A beautiful sunset. A burger the size of a platter with 2 jumbo prawns. Seared tuna between 1/4 1/2 pound. Delicious cocktails. Great service. Feet in the sand while the waves were 100 feet away. What more could you want?? You need to go there!! We've been to Coco's next door and we all agreed this was the best!!!
This is a beautiful location but don’t let the views fool you. I was with my wife and three sisters. It took 30 minutes just to get the drinks. We ordered our meals. 1 hour just to get the apps. When the apps came out my wife wanted to make sure her sisters fish wasn’t cooked in the same oil as shrimp because she has a severe allergy to shrimp. They said they use shrimp seasoning on all the fish so we decided to switch her meal About 15 minutes later the manager, Wilbur, came out and asked her how severe is her allergy because they started cooking the meal. We told him she’s very allergic and said we have to pay for the meal because we didn’t tell them ahead of time. Nobody asked us and we mentioned it to them when they brought the apps. She’s only allergic to shrimp. My wife is a chef and told him restaurants shouldn’t really charge for the meal since it wasn’t brought out but we agreed. My sister in law ordered chicken wings. Then he came out 15 minutes later and said they are out of wings. It’s now 1 1/2 hours we are waiting for our dinner. We said can he please bring the food out and he said it wasn’t ready. I told him if it hasn’t been ready why are we paying for. A meal we ordered over an hour ago. He was very nasty so we just paid for what we ate and left. Wilbur was so angry and was insulting to my wife and me saying we were the nastiest people he’s come across. We were not nasty and we are in the hospitality business. He was 100 percent unprofessional and I wouldn’t step foot ever into this restaurant again. We went down the street to another restaurant and the waiter told us people come all the time there after a bad experience at this place. As long as this man is managing this place I would avoid it at all costs!! The food we had was just average also. Better choices around the area.
