We never saw our server again after placing our order and even had to get up and walk to the bar counter to ask for coffee refills and jam for our biscuit. The “jam” I was given was more like a cloyingly sweet strawberry dessert topping. On to the food. I think it’s best to say they shine with their baked goods; croissant and biscuit were outstanding. Wary that we wouldn’t like the gravy, we got it on the side that was a good call. The sausage had a rubbery texture the gravy had an unpleasant fennel taste. The scrambled eggs were insulting. I believe they were “liquid eggs” from a carton as the flavor, color and texture reminded me of what is served at a holiday inn express buffet. Bacon was very good. My eggs Benedict was average, the hollandaise was either broken or not prepared properly as it was translucent and lacking in any flavor. Missing the slight lemony touch that I would normally enjoy. Canadian bacon tasted too smoky was very chewy. English muffin had an unpleasantly sweet favor. Eggs were poached nicely. The potatoes were worse than ore-ida, they were dry, stale and had zero seasoning on them. My peachy fizz drink was lovely. We could not even get our server to bring us the check. We decided to get up and ask to pay up front at the same counter we walked to ask for a coffee warm up, and the kind staff person said he wasn’t allowed to cash us out, but he’d try to flag down our server. I looked over at our table and they were immediately clearing our dishes. We hadn’t even paid yet! So we sat back down as they wiped off the surface we asked if they could get our server again because we needed to pay. She came to our table, slapped down our receipt that had a QR code and said “you can pay it yourself” and she then walked away. Normally we try to give restaurants more than 1 visit to decide if we want to come back, but between the food and service received today we won’t be back.
We had a party of 16 and Candy was the best waitress. She was so on point. Our food was delicious too. I had the salmon bowl and loved it. Thank you so much for a great experience!!!Kid-friendliness: She was awesome to get the kids orders in first. We had 3 toddlers and a baby and she was great with them. They all enjoyed their time.
The addition of a ton of outside space a tent has made this place amazing. We 've been for brunch and dinner and both had great food options about on par with prices in the area, with really good portions. You can check in ahead of time to get on the wait list, which is hugely helpful for brunch times. Cocktails are really good all around and change up from time to time. The salads, burger, and chicken fried steak have all been winners.
We had a reservation for 12 family members celebrating 3 birthdays. We were seated at 6:30pm which was on time. We did not receive our dinner until 7:30…4 had dinner salads, 4 sandwiches, 1hamburger, 1 order mac cheese and 1 had salmon. Did not think the order was that difficult to take an hour. 2 sandwiches they had to use a different bread than the one on the menu because they ran out and then charged an additional $1 each without telling us it was going to be more. Simply if you run out of bread don’t charge the customer if you have to substitute . Advise them if you use a different bread your going to charge….I mean really..Charge me more because you ran out of the bread on your menu….The 3 crab cake appetizers were the size of a silver dollar and did not have a great taste. The steam clam appetizer was tasteless. The sandwiches were just ok but nothing you would reorder if you came again. The salads again just ok…..The mac cheese and hamburger were good. We ordered desserts the Spiced Carrot Cake was tasty but dry, The Peanut Butter Chocolate Cake did not taste like either peanut butter or chocolate and also was dry, the best part of the Fried Bread Pudding was the Carmel sauce and pecans…if that tells you anything…..I could go on and on.. I realize we had 12 people but the service was terrible, the food so so. Our bill was $700+ and then a 20% tip they required. I wouldn’t have minded paying that tip if the service was good and the food average or above average or they let us know prior it would take a least an hour to receive our dinner so we had the opportunity to decide if we wanted to wait. 11 out of the 12 individuals will not return to this restaurant ever!
Gorgeous venue and restaurant so much aesthetic thought was put into it. Food is all great too everyone ordered something different and everyone seemed to enjoy it. Do be prepared that if you order something with fries they definitely are going to take half the plate or more which isn't bad for them being the nice thick cut fries.Parking: Lots of parking but it might be a walk from the restaurant. Which isn't bad though as you can walk through many of their gardens and little water feature areas go get there.Kid-friendliness: Servers where nice had standard kids menu items even made the boys milkshakes which we really didn't expect at a place like this.
