If there was six stars they'd get it. Fruits, veggies, chicken and really a whole bunch more. They have a farm to the table meal that I can't wait to go to. Honestly I travel a lot and if you want an authentic and sincere experience stop here. It was such a great way to spend a part of my afternoon.
My wife was having a birthday so I decided to take her to a place we go to about 2-3 times a year, whenever we are in the area! Since she is gluten sensitive, our choices of eateries is somewhat limited. The Whiskey Creek Bakery & Bistro is a must visit, whether gluten is your thing or not! The food is always incredible and the staff friendly and helpful. Pretty much most ingredients are from the farm from what I understand. Just look at what she had for this meal! Wonderful! A little bit of an effort to find but well worth the energy! And the setting is rustic and peaceful!
My foodie friends from the mainland were impressed with this rural gem. The decision about what to eat was made difficult by all the mouth-watering choices in the display case. For our lunch, we decided on the special: quiche and salad which was prepared fresh, taking almost an hour. You can eat in the building that houses the kitchen (a little crowded) or the more spacious dining room just a few steps away. We chose the latter and it was a good decision, made cozy with the warmth of the wood stove. There is also a separate building where free-range chickens and seasonal veggies are sold. Open Saturdays from 11:30 to 3:30. Good signage so you won’t get lost.
The place is super funky, retro, antique, a very comfortable, cozy feel. Love the quilt covered wicker, and charm. So much to look at in every direction of the property. We enjoyed amazing treats: a buckwheat/almond flour layer cake that was to die for, and a poppyseed, raisin pastry - not nearly as good, but still nice.I'd spend a few hours here any day of the week - but of course, they are only open on Saturdays! Summary: high quality ingredients & taste--equally high prices!
Excellent meal and quaint environment. Truly a farm but decorated with antiques and whimsical chicken art. Staff/owners live what they do and it shows
