The Irish Pub House - Raytown

This is a pretty special bar. You immediately know you're a stranger amongst regulars during your first visit, but everyone is there to mind their own business and have a good time. The bar is female owned and ran, all the bartenders I've met so far are great. They have decently priced drinks, good cheap chinese food next door and plenty of tables and bar space. I can't really put my finger on why it feels so different than many of the bars I've gone to, but it's like a nice, comfortable dive/sports bar/pub feel and they don't tolerate nonsense so I always feel safe there when I'm there on my own as a woman. Good people all around who know how to make good drinks.

Went here to play some pool. Pretty quaint dive bar. Decent bar food, too. Not a fan of smoking bars even though I do smoke so that's why the 3 stars and not 4 ? sorry. Sometimes the smokers den is where you can meet new people you may not have had the gumption to approach in the bar. Now there's common place: oh you like getting cancer intentionally too?! Icebreakers folks, icebreakers ????

Good place for watching the game. Not a huge beer selection but good beers were available. Service was good and the food was good too.
