I was initially put off the name soy boy, was a mental thing on my part. I'm so glad I didn't judge a restaurant by it's name and not give them a go. One word for the food: exquisite One word for portions: generous One word for presentation: gorgeous Three words to seal the deal: value for money. Soy boy is the closest thing to fine Asian dining in Cairns. The owners have decided to take a homely approach and it certainly feels that way. Expect great service, water that you never have to ask to be refilled. Attentive service with wait staff ready to mobilize at any given moment. Food that starts a party in your taste buds when they hit the tongue. Praise alone is insufficient to do soy boy justice. Try them, go for the food, stay for the hospitality.

My partner and I, who are originally from China but now living in Brisbane, recently dined at Mr Soy Boy in Cairns. We have to say, it is hands down the best restaurant we've tried in the area. The Asian cuisine is authentic and the customer service is excellent. If you're looking for something different and delicious, this is a must-try. We now have a reason to come back to Cairns, and that reason is Mr Soy Boy.

Absolutely fantastic. The food is incredibly authentic, just like eating in Asia. The casual atmosphere and friendly service make you feel right at home, and the prices are reasonable considering the high quality and attention to detail. This is a restaurant that even chefs would love to dine at. The food is excellent!

I never leave this restaurant disappointed. The menu is amazing with a great selection of vegan options alongside the regular menu. The flavors are incredible and I keep coming back for more. The Szechuan potatoes and vegan Singaporean noodles are especially delicious. Once you try it, you'll be coming back for more!
