WHAT A GEM. My boyfriend and I absolutely love this please. We try to go stop there whenever we pass through Regina. Best service, so clean, friendly people and amazing food. Would recommend the Madras chicken, and the dinner for two with the wine is...awesome. The portions are pretty big and we usually take the leftovers home. Often they give free appies as well which is so kind. Overall, nothing but good things to say about this place. We eat a lot of Asian food and this place has delicious food. They deserve a lot of credit. Love it!
To start off, I am not a curry fan but Caraway has converted me. I really love their coconut prawn curry. After having terrible butter chicken at other Indian restaurants (ex. India House... horrible butter chicken) I never wanted to eat butter chicken again but...I thought I would give it a try at Caraway and it was so delicious. The naan bread is fresh and tasty. I love their saffron rice as well. Their take-out portions are huge. When it's a group of us we get the dinner for I think it's a great value for what you get. No one has ever left hungry and we generally have leftovers for the next day and it tastes good reheated the day after too! The pakora is crispy and spicy. My favourite appetizer is the tiger shrimp. It's a spicy flavour bomb! I also like their tandoori chicken, it's cooked perfectly. The service has been fantastic every time we go. Our drinks are always refilled promptly and the staff always check in to see how we're doing. They are so friendly! The restaurant itself is small but cozy and the decor is lovely. I feel like the negative reviews on here have to be from competing restaurants because I have eaten at Caraway SO many times and have never had bad food or a bad experience. (I mean the really bad reviews. I can't believe even on an off-day it's as bad as some people wrote in their reviews). This is in my top favourite restaurants in the city and is my favourite Indian food restaurant by a LANDSLIDE.
The food here is to die for. We ordered butter chicken, plain naan and rice. Server was attentive, filling water glasses regularly and our wine. The food was spiced perfectly. This is the best restaurant for Indian food. The butter chicken was seasoned perfectly. Will...be bk.
My expectations were a little low. Saskatchewan and great Indian cuisine don’t necessarily go hand-in-hand. However, there were no complaints amongst our table of Food and service were surprisingly wonderful.
