Avaliação da contribuiçãoA friend recently recommended Jahdomes as a place that serves excellent breakfast. We thought we'd give it a go.The place was reasonably busy when we arrived. Our order was taken shortly afterwards. My go to item on any breakfast menu is Eggs Benedict. If I find something more interesting I might order that otherwise its Eggs Benedict. On this occasion I was attracted to the Eggs Benedict because it was served with pulled pork instead of the bacon. My daughter ordered the open BLT focaccia. One long black coffee and one Mint Choc Hot Chocolate from the extensive list of Hot chocolates advertised.Sorry, there's not Mint Choc.Okay. We'll have the White Chocolate instead.Sorry, no White Chocolate, no Caramel, No Tiramisu. Just the Classic Hot Chooclate. The coffee was excellent. The hot chocolate was lovely.Breakfast arrives. The open BLT looks good. Nice flavours but that Turkish bread can't be cut through for anything. The Pulled Pork Benedict was inedible. Try as I did, I couldn't do it. Pulled Pork done well is tender, still a bit pink and delicious. This pork looked very overcooked and disgustingly fatty. (Look at the photo). The two eggs - one poached well (runny), the other almost hard boiled.I ordered a second great coffee instead. Jahdomes is one of those places where the owners walk around greeting customers, asking if everything is okay (it was until the food arrived), hugs and kisses to the regulars etc. My understanding is that one of the owners is also responsible for the cake selection which looks really lovely. If I can suggest anything is that they spend less time flitting around with customers, pay attention to what is coming out of the kitchen, get rid of things that don't work (the fatty porky benedict thing that could have been amazing if they'd just loved it a bit) and order more of the Fraus Hot Chocolate varieties on the menu (or get rid of the menu). The wait staff were faultless. Polite, efficient, friendly. It's the rest of the manpower that lets them down.
Warm homely cafe, great coffee and amazing cakes which are made by the owner, nice family business xx
Jahdomes has good food and great staff at a good price. We enjoyed brunch on my day off on a Friday. We found the staff to be attentive and friendly without being overbearing.
We had a very nice lunch meal at Jahdomes, staff were attentive and I asked for recommendations which proved very helpful. I did find the café quite noisy though, but the coffee and wine were very good. I will definitely go back for a coffee and vanilla slice.
Good meal, nice service and average coffee. Poached eggs were great, but bacon was a little under cooked for me. Pastry options are superb. Call in advance if you have a big group booking.
