Avaliação da contribuiçãoI have been going to Dong's for years and it has always been great. The staff is always extremely friendly, their food is delicious, and June (the owner) is one of the kindest people I have ever met. I would recommend this place to everyone. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Are they recommended even though I can't really afford sushi Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Absolutely awful: do not get raw fish here. It was warm and smelly. Also, we were missing one of our dishes. As someone who has eaten at the best sushi restaurants in the world, I strongly advise you to STAY FAR AWAY!!!! After one bite we threw out the rest (of our very big order). I’d rather waste money than get food poisoning. Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $50–100
(Not sure if this is where to put this as the Google Maps listing hasn't updated to reflect the merge with Adam's Mongolian Grill, but here goes. My husband and I were regulars at Dong's Sushi. We were surprised by the merge with Adam's, but we were hoping the sushi wouldn't suffer from if. Unfortunately, our experience tonight proved us wrong. We ordered 5 rolls and a side of gyoza over the phone, and the employee told us it'd be ready in about 20 minutes. I went by a little over 20 minutes later to pick up the sushi, but it still wasn't ready for us. I sat in the restaurant for well over 30 minutes waiting for them to finish the gyoza and one of our rolls. They had one chef working and were extremely busy with customers coming for the Mongolian food. It took awhile for one of the employees to let the chef know I was waiting on our food due to the constant flow of customers coming in, and he had to call in a second chef to help take over the Mongolian food so he could make our last roll. All of the employees were kind and clearly trying their best to handle the busy time, but there were just too many things going on. When I brought the food home, my husband and I were disappointed to find that most of the rolls were falling apart, and the pieces were unevenly cut. All of the rolls were mushy and had an unusually fishy taste (whether from sitting out for an hour or from poor ingredient quality, I can't say . The one deep fried roll we'd ordered had gotten very cold and was even mushier than the others due to the deep frying. It seems that the merge with Adam's Mongolian Grill has left Dong's Sushi as a shell of what it used to be. With the number of customers, the lack of employees simply cannot handle two varieties of food. If you are going to get the sushi, I do not recommend eating in the restaurant since the whole place smells like Mongolian food (which is great if that's what you're eating, but it doesn't mix so well with sushi . As for my husband and me, we won't be coming back as there are plenty of dedicated sushi bars in Idaho Falls with much higher quality for relatively the same price.
This may sound it should be a 1 star review, but please read the whole thing to understand. They moved to a new location inside of Adam's Mongolian BBQ. They starting a new system for online orders and misplaced my order. When I showed up 20 miniutes later to pick up my order they had even started it yes... From then on I was treated like royalty. They explained what had happened and were very apologetic. They served me a free drink an appetizer while I waited, moved my order to the front of the line and were very communicative through the process. I truly believe it was just growing pains and I felt like they handled the mistake well. The sushi is the best in town especially for the price, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for sushi in rexburg. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30
