Grillmarkaðurinn - Reykjavik Island

Beautiful experience in Reykjavik. The lava stone walls are decorated with the transparent skin of the leopard fish and the menu has many traditional dishes. A restaurant to go once for the experience, then it is better to choose cheaper places.

”A must go to” when in Reykjavik! Expensive, yes like all the resturants in the city, but this one is definitely worth it! The food was delicious, we even tried some whale, even though the ethical side of that might be questioned. The staff was super friendly and well educated with the menu!

Amazing cocktails and food! My server was named Sofia and she was so great! Very nice and attentive and gave me great tourist tips! I had the 8 course dinner with whale, duck, lamb, shrimp, Arctic char, ribeye, one more thing I can’t remember haha and dessert! Absolutely recommend!

Amazing place to visit if you want to try some unique traditional dishes! We had horse, shark, and reindeer which was definitely an interesting experience! The drinks and food are delicious, staff are very friendly and the place is so beautifully decorated! It is quite expensive as we spent almost £100 each with just starters, main and a couple drinks but would definitely recommend for traditional Icelandic food!

Had dinner here with my son the night we got to Reykjavik. Had reservations a month before arriving from the states. We had the Christmas Tasting menu… definitely an awesome choice. Food was excellent!
