Avaliação da contribuiçãoSince moving to Richmond in 2016 Ive developed a hate love relationship with the local restaurants here.
Order first then sit down/ fast food Hong Kong style cuisine alot of options to choose from/ different menu lunch and dinner Good food reasonable
Had to decide between the two star or three star for this one because I think it'll differ depending on my reason for being here and so for today's
My spouse and I came here for a quick lunch around 2:00 PM. When we arrived the restaurant was still half full. The restaurant has seating for about 50 patrons. This restaurant is a self-serve cafeteria style. You choose meals from the LCD TV menu boards by number and then give your order to the cashier.Depending on the meal, your meal comes with a 16 ounce drink including ice coffee, ice tea and Hong Kong coffee. There are other beverage options as well.My spouse ordered the "L32" - $9 minute steak with pepper based brown gravy, corn niblets and spaghetti. The portion size of the steak was around 6 ounces and was tender. Taste-wise, it was okay with a slight peppery taste. She also had an ice coffee that tasted pretty good – slightly creamy and not too sweet. My spouse thought it was a bit on the sweet side.I ordered the "L5" - $8 curry beef brisket with potatoes and rice. The brisket tasted okay and was somewhat flavourful and not spicy at all. I have had better curry beef brisket.I had an ice tea which tasted alright. Her meal included the cold beverage as did mine. The total cost was $17. Menu pricing includes the taxes. The food overall was okay as was the service – none to speak of because it was self-serve. Our order took less than 8 minutes from the time we ordered until we picked it up.The restaurant is not a bad place for a quick, relatively inexpensive meal with the downfall being the lack of parking. I would rate the overall food experience – price, portion size, taste and atmosphere - 3 out of 5.Notes & Tips• Restaurant is located at on the northwest corner of Number 5 and Bridgeport Roads. The strip mall includes a computer store, a pho restaurant and a bank. There is a Wendy’s behind the strip mall.• Parking is very limited in this small strip mall• Check out the restaurant website• Cash or debit card only• The washroom was clean
Although there are a few poor reviews, Cafe Loyal is a great spot to catch lunch! There is a great selection of Asian inspired dishes which are fresh and hot! If you've traveled in Asia you'll appreciate the ambiance, the speed of service and the price.Check it out!
