I had an orange blossom drink before dinner, white wine with dinner then on foie grass and pate for our 2 appetizers Pork Duo (pork belly zartloins) with cloth, potatoes and butternut Squash ravioli were the 2 ducks. Finished with spiced pear cake with a yogurt mousse and silk chocolate cake to dessert. Now I need to be quick for a week
Beautiful little jewel with French flair! Perfect for an intimate friend collect or date, although probably not a first date, as the preset menu takes a few hours to go through! You choose from an appetizer, main course and dessert list! Cocktails are unique and so are the glasses they come! The cured tuna was a miss, but everything else was 5 stars! You want to book a table!
Belmont Food Shop is an undiscovered jewel in Richmond. The food is great, the drinks and service are great, but as historians what I like most, feel the 1920s. All wood, chalkboard menu, leather-bound wine map, and only 20 people. I can't beat the atmosphere. I wish they had a website to see the weekly menu, or a better way to book a table, but that also adds to the old school feeling. I love this place.
That's a great place. I used to be when they had an octopus appetizer and it was the best at all. And I'm not a fan of octopus normally, so it was huge. This time when I got a soured duck and beef duo, man got the blue cheese with salad and scallops. It was all super tasty as expected, although the duck was a bit over. But the beef was so on. And the scallops were melted deliciously in your mouth.
I have been here several times, and Belmont Food Shop never disappoints. Small, intimate space with exceptionally friendly staff. The craft cocktails are amazing and only outperformed by the food. When someone says show me Richmond , I take them to Belmont Food Shop.
