A mouthwatering appetizer menu that can double as a page menu. They offer traditional sides of Koleslaw and Fritten as well as homemade potatoes. (Dear Staff, potatoes mashed must be served hot, not lukewarm. OYSTER SHOOTERS are on the powerful beer and wine menu. The front of the restaurant is a casual dining area with a large bar. If you are looking for a quiet area of the restaurant, there is an amazing back space, with garage bay doors that are in fresh air, overlooking the classic fan houses on South Addison street. For Dessert, I had the rich and decadent chocolate mousse. They also offer key lime cake and cheesecake. You can make a reservation, but I came at 6 and sat right away. For this lively RVA'er, he remembers Awful Arthur's during his flowering period. I loved the atmosphere and I will definitely be back.
One of my favorite places for Happy Hour around the city. They have a wide range of food and drinks. They can't go wrong to order their oysters, shells and crabs. Try to come early because this place fills up quickly! Parking can be a bit difficult as it is all steet parking, but so it is worth it
We went and had a lot of appetizers. The service was friendly and fast. The dozen oysters on the Happy Hour Special were a lot and very tasty. I didn't like the Chipolte sauce for the Calamari especially, but the Calamari was otherwise great. The Ahi tuna was delicious. The crab dive tasted like the interior of a crab ringon (in a good way). The scallops were perfectly cooked (my wife thought there was too much bacon that made them salty). There's a good beer selection and my wife had a really good gin blossom. While the atmosphere is not as high as the boathouse or the hard shell, the food is with them and the value is much better, especially when you go in happy hour. We will definitely be back and recommend this restaurant to friends.
Very friendly waiting and bar staff. Also for mother's day very apologetically, as the weekend rush had left her without more than a few entree key contents, but there was much more to choose. Also good cocktails, like a wide selection of mules. Technically, the beer cocktail oyster shooter wine list is longer than the menu haha, but this is not a bad thing. The music selection was one that you would expect in Richmond with a variety of indie rock, but low enough to not disturb conversation. If the weather is good, they have a seating area with large open windows for some outdoor air. We have come at least 3 times and would of course come back. In the end, Mahi dazzles Mahi fish tacos... I never get fish tacos, but last night and I'm glad I did. It was worth it.
Noisy but the food and service is great. I come here every now and then when there is oyster night. Usually, it is packed and if you find a spot to seat you can make a conversation as it gets very loud. So, if you don’t mind this is a great option for some seafood. Also, burger here is delicious and juicy. The portion of fries are generous too.
