Smohk Rva Bbq - Richmond

Roby and his team provided an excellent all-around experience that lived up to it's friendly, laid-back claim. I appreciated getting to see the smoker out front. Our brisket platters were excellent. Between us we sampled four sides and found each had great flavor. Will stop here next time we're in Scott's Addition.

Let me tel you something…this place is on point… great bbq, sides a drinks. A little on the pricey side but it is well worth it…trust me….

Smohk is located behind a brewery off a side road in Richmond. The man and woman running the place were warm and welcoming and excellent at what they do. When i went yesterday I ordered the ribs and the pulled pork sandwich. The ribs were fall off the bone, tender, juicy and succulent just phenomenal. The pulled pork sandwich had a great smoky flavor and their bbq sauce was quite tasty. Midway through my meal I was handed a piece if pork that was just pulled out of the smoker and almost fell over in my chair. There’s a secret to that rub! If youre in the area or passing through I95, pull over and go here.

Best bbq I've ever eaten. You will have to search to find the place but your taste buds will thank you! Great service and libations also. Reasonable prices. Do not miss this culinary experience if you are around Richmond!

Ok so I seriously never write reviews but I just love this place and I am so glad I stumbled upon this place a few years ago. It is the ONLY barbecue place I will go to (for those who know me, know this). The meat isn't too smoky, just a perfect balance with their sauces. The sides are bomb. It's hidden behind a brewery which is pretty cool if you are into that. Every interaction I have with the boss/server is so pleasant. It is the first restaurant I take people when I have visitors. I think I have said enough here. Don't walk, you better run there. God bless Smohk RVA BBQ.
