Avaliação da contribuiçãoRabbit Rillette with inlaid onions for appetizer was great! Chilled corn soup was delicious along with roasted catfish and soft shell cancers. The hazelnut cake with blueberry sauce was good, but not my favorite. Outdoor terrace was very welcoming and much quieter than eating inside. Excellent quality culinary experience and highly recommended.
I and a friend came here over firebird grotto and because breadth in stony point said they had a 2 he waited for 2 people lol. The ambience is simple and romantic (low lighting and smooth music) loved the peninsula bar and yellow lights. We were glad not to let the server run as soon as we set ourselves, because it allowed us time to watch the menu u and the drinks options. I ordered the Faerie Blossom and my friend didn't talk badly. Both delicious mine was refreshing and its was smooth as a Pina Colada. Next I ordered the fried catfish and added a crab cake and he had the homemade Rigatoni and added the burrata. Both were good; Mines need spices (salt and pepper), but the hot butter sauce was a big sauce. His paired big together, but the noodles were understated. We recommend coming here and was very surprised, it was not packed.
Me and my sister went there for Valentine where they had a selective menu their choices were good but could have been better the the shrimp salad was delicious the crab cakes were a little burnt and pair with coleslaw and potato salad I have sensitive teeth so pairing cold and hot bothers me so I only ate the crab cakes the desert choices could have been better I didn't like any of them but I chose the tiramisu I didn't eat it. My sister had the lobster bisque she didn't like the croutons it was too hard and she also got the salmon with brussel sprouts which was a little burnt she didn't like the taste of it but the salmon was good she chose a chocolate dessert that she did not eat
Southbound is definitely unique. The menu is seasonal and creative but not enough options. My daughter and I had a hard time finding what we want for dinner. I am giving a four stars for the menu lack of selections, entrees are very expensive but not memorable. They do offer a good selection of wine and mix drinks. Service was great.
Great service and food. I love their little takeout market next door as well. Nice little outdoor dining space. **** Mary, chicken and waffles, omelette with a side salad pictured. Happy to have some good dining options south of the James/hugeonot.
