Avaliação da contribuiçãoI brought my son to this restaurant and we both enjoyed the fried cod and chips. The fish is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, fresh and flavorful. The fried potatoes were good but could use a bit more salt. The price was a bit higher than I expected considering the simple decor. It came to an average of $15 per person including tips. However, it is worth trying if you are craving fried food. I plan to try their calamari on my next visit.
Love visiting this restaurant for the excellent food. Their Fish and Chips are celebrated around the Richmond Hill area. Thank you the the staff who always go the extra mile to make this a memorable eating experience.
Stopped at York Fish and Chips for a quick dinner before a hockey game and I was impressed by the halibut here. For $9.20, you get a nice sized fish and you are pleased that it's not too greasy. The price seems to be the going rate for halibut. The service was more than friendly and quite quick. Located on Yonge just north of Elgin Mills, York Fish and Chips is a solid choice for halibut!
My wife had a craving fro real fish and chips in a bonafide fish and chip shop. Yes, we have other options such as the English pub style places along Yonge Street, but that's all pub grub. This is the real deal. The place is located in a strip mall together with a number of other fast food restaurants. Firstly the place is small, with about a dozen tables for about 24 people. The place is bright and the tacky fishing themed printed paintings are along the walls. The menu is pretty simple, with fried fish of one sort or the other, shrimp, calamari, halibut, haddock, Pollock, etc. Items can be ordered with or without or even 1/2 fries. We had halibut with 1/2 fries, an order of shrimp and a Caesar salad. The even have bottled beer in about a dozen varieties. The server is the owner's wife and she is pleasant and very efficient. The Caesar salad tasted like it was doused in Kraft Dressing, not my preferred blend, but refreshing on this very hot day. The halibut was lightly fried in a light batter. The shrimp were a done just a little more than the fish. both were delicious. The French fries were almost undercooked and not crispy at all, but otherwise ok. At least they weren't burned. The server was pleased to serve a cup of mayonnaise for my French fire eating habit, direct from Belgium! The meal was very pleasing and reasonably priced. When my wife's fish and chip craving hits here again, we will definitely return here.
The menu offered a decent selection of typical fish. Don't expect anything healthy! We usually get take out and its never much of a wait for our order. The staff are friendly and its never too busy. The fish can be a bit greasy, but thats somewhat to be expected. Price is decent, food is good.
