Ichiban Japanese Steakhouse - Roanoke

I was really happy with my lunch! A friend and I went and I had a bento box and they had a few other different things. Everything that we ordered was delicious. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was okay. It was pretty busy and I would definitely love to go back and have more of a feast. It's a very affordable top shelf environment. Vegetarian options: There is a substantial amount of food that can be eaten at a Japanese restaurant. For instance tofu. That's a high protein source that's often added to various dishes throughout the entire menu. I have food allergies so I am amplified on a vegetarian option selection. Dietary restrictions: I have a boatload of food allergies and they were very respectful towards them. Wheelchair accessibility: It is accessible and there is parking outside that you will have an easy entrance.

Went here for a birthday party, seemed like there was a lot of those going on. It is a great place for that as you can have a natural and easy conversation about what is taking place in front of you. It wasn’t too loud, but there is enough commotion going on to where you feel free to talk. As for the food, it was very good!! The hibachi options come with a miso soup to start, followed by a salad with ginger dressing (optional dressings). These came almost immediately after ordering. Then your chef comes out and will put on a show! The hibachi grill food was super good. From the rice to the meats, I enjoyed them all. They also serve you with yumyum sauce and a ginger sauce. We also asked for a “hot sauce” which was a sweet/spicy chili sauce. The sushi was on point! Probably the best thing I had. The “Rock N Roll” sushi was great! My brother ordered the sushi boat for two and smashed it himself. A little pricey but it was done well. Overall, a great experience and one that I would definitely recommend! Great spot for a special night like a birthday party. I will be back again!

The food was great. The service was poor. Before we were done eating, the servers started trying to take away plates we were still eating from. After we finished eating, all the dishes were taken away except empty drinks which were never refilled. Then a 45 min wait to pay so we could leave. Restaurant has a standard 18% built in gratuity for the hibachi tables so they get a fair tip even if you get poor service. Service: Dine in

Truly a wonderful experience. All of the staff was extremely professional. Every bit of the food was delicious and it's a very vlean place. We will definitely be going here regularly. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
