I had a nice meal with my parents this weekend and decided to come back tonight for the black forest cake. Boy, it did not disappoint. Delicious!

Id have to say that the food and service has declined over the years. The food was so so. I couldn't finish my food. I was on my 2nd cup of coffee and 2nd iced tea. When I put the sugar in I noticed these black specs. Im guessing it was pepper. I know I couldn't figure out why I was feeling heat in my mouth from drinking my beverages. The waitress said it was pepper and took the sugar container and said oh my I dont know how that got in there. She said that some kids loosened the salt a little while back so they would dump all the salt out to be funny. She didn't say we will give you your drinks free of charge since I told her I was done. I would of expected at least some kind of discount considering I didnt finish eating. I wont be going back there. I know that I saved someone else from getting pepper in thier coffee. I didnt get a sorry or thank you. Its unexcusable.

We had a funeral banquet dinner on 7/27/24 at this family restaurant. Everyone that attended enjoyed themselves. The staff was friendly and engaging which was great for a sad occasion. Food was served promptly and enjoyed by all. The service couldn't have been better. The servers were awesome!! We all appreciated your efforts in making our dining experience a great one. My wife and I stopped here after years of passing it. We stopped for breakfast. I’m really glad we did. The atmosphere is wonderful. Trains travel around the ceiling! It’s a blast from the past! The portions were big and the food was 4/5….. not the best, but perfect for a quick breakfast. My only regret was not getting a pastry that looked amazing and was very reasonably priced! If it wasn’t too hot and far away from home, I would have bought a few to go. We will be back!
