Very friendly staff and the Cauliflower soup is GF and delicious even if it is not marked as such on the menu

We stopped for a few weeks at noon and when we went into I thought, "oh no I made a mistake."... I was very, very wrong!! The children's castles were amazing!! You can choose your pages, and I had veg and sweet potatoes that... was a perfect companion to a beautiful chicken nitty. Hubby had a well cooked steak. Price was amazing!! Very friendly staff, can't blame!! We'll be back at the next passage! High Recomens for a cheap (but high quality) pub feed!!!

Hidden the upper floor space for a surprise birthday party. Had booked and paid for months and had planned everything. The woman, who is responsible for running functions there, seemed completely unprofessional, has accused us of renting rooms twice and had to make a refund....Didn not tell us until the week of the event that we were unable to buy catering (we had organized pasture company to do wasting table) although it was bought at several meetings and discussions with her. When we came to the event, half of our room had been given and set up for an event on the outside (which we found out was an event held by their personal acquaintances), we finally got our room back as agreed after the dispute with it, but the whole night went downhill because the ego of this function manager came in the way. The functional space should be set up before the event, the speakers and the microphone set-up, the TV for the photo slides, as ready to go. Nothing has been done. We were not able to get someone to set up the music up to 1.5 hours in the event, and the microphone was not set up for speeches up to 10 a.m., although the party started at 6 a.m. She absolutely refused to be any help for our function as she told us she was too busy, but went to the next door event for 2 hours to go and socialize. For the crowd of people between the 2 functions, all with the 1 bar, the bars were hard short employees for most of the night. If you are looking for somewhere to keep a function. I'd make Victoria Tavern clear. You will take your money for a service that they are strictly under qualified to offer, and make your time there best miserable.

The ladies on the upper floor did an extraordinary job today, they held up all the inquiries and ensured that the experience was more than perfect. They are service was a 10/10 and would recommend everyone to come here. They were more than inviting and knew when it was time to cut someone off. I'm not proud of how they've handled everyone. You deserve an applause. I put a picture of the beautiful ladies who served everyone tonight.

The food was amazing, service was fantastic couldn't fault them on anything. Will definatly be going back. Was very full after dinner. Nice friendly team.
