I am not a crazy fan of fishing and chips in general, but this was a very pleasant surprise. I ordered the fish, tinted fish and chips and the part was very generous, the chips were the best I had in a quite long time (so yum and the teig was perfect. the menu seems to boast a very decent selection of meals and snacks, and the staff was very friendly to be picky, I would rather have a bit more salt on the chips (no biggie) and would have loved some lemon for the merry fruits (again, no biggie, and not thought to check/arrange a meal before they leave the load so really the beach work was my young!
The family package ordered for 3 people, quantity was good, but talking about salted. to read other commentary that they may be on rat over no salt, but our was coated like a sugary donut. chips were good and crispy, but fish was dry. I think the crumbs and fish were over cooked. it's too fat. the service was good. we are there on Easter Saturday at 1 o'clock. there are some other spots to get fish and chips, it will try elsewhere next time.
Although this fish and chip shop has a call as the best in rockingham and never failed to deliver on this promise. crispy batter genurous portions and all very favorable makes this my fave take away in rocko
I have had so many bad chips lately that I was giving up. We drove past and saw the sign that said Rockingham's Best Fish and Chips... The line was long and we took this as a good sign. So glad we waited! The chips were so crunchy and perfect. Slightly oily and under-salted but the crunch made up for it!
