The Prime Smokehouse: Barbecue Beyond

One of the best burgers and dining experiences I've ever had. I was having my truck repaired and decided to try something new. Restaurant and facilities were very clean. Staff was very friendly but not bothersome. I really liked the seating and the viewas well. Food came fast and was cooked perfectly. Overall a treat I wasn't expecting! I'm looking forward to going back andbeing a regular.

If you are in the Rocky Mount Area this is your place to eat. There is a great variety menu for all palettes. Broiled, grilled and fried options. We traveled from out of town to visit this restaurant and it delivered. Mac and Cheese, great. Collardgreens, great. I could go on about each food item. Just pick something! Eat everything if desired. The atmosphere is up-beat,beautiful murals and outside scenery. The waiting area is plentiful if you have a large party. Our group had 13 people and theywere able to accommodate. We did make a reservation and would advise large groups to do so. The hostess was welcoming and satus quickly. We had 3 servers who attended well to our needs. We had a slight issue but the servers recognized the issue andworked to make immediate changes. We didn't drink alcoholic beverages. But if you are looking for a great bar with wine andcocktails this is your stop. I watched the folks at the bar and other tables. Now,if you drink good Southern sweet tea, have aglass it was refreshingly sweet. If you have someone with mobility issues there is a circle and ramp in the front. I think Isaw an elevator also just not sure. Drop off your person and then go park. I would say close parking is limited. They haveseveral handicap parks but still limited. There are several restaurants in the area. Towards the end of our dining both ownerscame out to greet our table and thank us for coming to their restaurant. I was able to share my concern and was thanked for thefeedback.

Beautifully decorated place, with nice jazz music and delicious bbq food. The brisket sandwich is generous and super tasty. Brisket is well cooked and the ribs are fall off the bone. Everything was on point. Can't wait to visit again.

My husband took me here for the first time today. What a wonderful experience everything was delicious and so full of flavor. You could taste each note of flavor in every bite. Their sweet tea is a southern delight! We were unable to try the dessertsadly because we were both full. Can?t wait to go back!

Delicious food! We had reservations for 7 but didn?t get seated until 8. That was a let down but our server was pleasant and the food was pretty quick considering and oh-so-good! The owner came out to mingle around the tables towards the end of ourmeal. Very cool environment. Clean bathrooms.
