Avaliação da contribuiçãoI went to dinner last night with friends and I loved it so much that I went back to lunch with a colleague the next day. Classic Roman menu with something out of menu (a risotto with delicious orthics!! The very simple atmosphere. Wine of the house (a very pleasant mountain. Matriciana overwhelmed by my friend. Careful and kind service. Everything at absolutely reasonable prices. In the heart of the Monti district, you can't find more good and authentic.
Stupendo local, we were fine, quality food and moderate prices.
Non-tourist premises where you can eat of the wax Roman cuisine. Their dishes are prepared with fresh and genuine ingredients and according to traditional recipes; the result is very good. We tried Amatriciana and carbonara: very tasty and abundant, in the end the shoe is obligatory. Also good focaccia with chicory and ham that we took as an appetizer. The room staff is very nice, courteous and handy. We are recommended!
The food was terrific. They were offering four different kinds of risotto--I had risotto with NETTLES, something I've never seen anywhere else, and it was lovely, perfectly cooked with a delicate flavor. Two of my friends had the mushroom risotto (even better, maybe) and my other friend had the gnocchi with gorgonzola and arugula. And we had an excellent bottle of Montepulciano d'Abruzzo for 15 euroes. The service was friendly and efficient--everyone was working very hard but they kept it chill. They were nice to us American tourists, but clearly they're a place for locals (which is what these particular tourists like best). The tab for the meal was amazingly low. I'd go back here again and again.
Nice small restaurant with indeed 2 columns inside the main room. Bruschette were great. Grilled polpo was OK. Pasta were too salty and pizza was so so … we believe too much cooked. But overall OK. Waiter was very nice … and fighting with tourists asking for “do you have some toilets?”
