La Pace Del Palato - Rome

Ormai da anni, quando ci troviamo in zona, il nostro ristorante di riferimento. Anche il giorno dell'Epifania abbiamo pranzato alla Pace del Palato ed è stato tutto ottimo. Dall'accoglienza, al servizio ed ovviamente alle portate. Antipasti, primi e secondi molto buoni per finire con una ottima torta alla nocciola. Una garanzia.

We were greeted at the door by Renato and he lovingly took care of us throughout the night with suggestions, check-ins and overall kind service. The servings were full and delicious. We will certainly be back!

This is apparently a family-owned business that has been operating for 20 years. Unlike all the other restaurants around, it did not have tables in the street, at least not the night we were there. The meal was fabulous, best I had in Rome. We had pasta, beef strips and squid. All delicious. Like another reviewer we also had a weird interaction with our waitress about the tip and how we would have to pay her separately. I thought she was the daughter of the owner and this was some kind of joke but I think she was serious. In the end we paid in cash and left her a tip but it was a bit strange. Don't let this put you off, however, it is well worth a visit, just hold firm on paying cash or card as you like.

The absolute best food we have had in Italy so far and we have been to many fine restaurants in Venice and Florence already. I would recommend this to everyone!!
