The ceviche is absolutely amazing- so delicious and perfectly spicy. The large corn and roasted corn really brought me back to our meals in Peru.
This place is mediocre and overpriced. Pollo Saltado a La Antigua Sautéed Chicken a la Antigua is good and flavorful and the portion is plentiful, however the majority of it is rice with barely any chicken. The Lomo Saltado a La Antigua Sautéed Tenderloin a la Antigua was simply ok, way overpriced for the portion you actually receive. Again, you appear to receive a plentiful portion, but in reality you actually are overloaded with rice and onions. The steak was tender but lacked flavor as well as everthing else in this dish. You get about 4-5 pieces of steak and if you cut them up real tiny, you might be able to spread it out and make it last the whole serving. I've had this place a few times and the pollo saltado is the most consistent thing they have on the menu (aside from the soup which they stopped offering). They tend to forget things or mix up orders frequently as well.
The first time we got it, amazing. This time, that super delicious huencaina sauce tasted like nacho cheese and it as also the color of it, my husband said it tasted like it was made with mac and cheese powder. The chicken, steak and rice were good, but the sauce that was so good the n first time ruined it this time
