Avaliação da contribuiçãoThis was an excellent find. It’s in a very attractive old hotel building (which you would pass by on the street without noticing and the restaurant is built out over the ochre cliffs at the rear with a terrace. Book for that view! The food was amazingly good. Something as simple as a tomato with goats cheese was a pure explosion of flavours, which sounds corny but true. Beautifully presented and inventive cooking. Also a good local wine list – with a view of the vineyards!
Recommended and reserved by our helpful hotel, Restaurant David was a wonderful experience. The terrace was closed on our visit probably due to it being a cool late September evening. Our health passes were scanned and once we were seated, we could remove our masks. Our table next to the window provided a spectacular view of La Ochre, the rust oxide/clay colored cliffs of Roussillon. We enjoyed the “Back from the Market” menu at only per person. I had the starter of heirloom tomatoes with goat cheese and basil while my husband started with the salmon confit. Our entrees were incredible, my cod and my husband’s duck filet were paired perfectly with a glass of wine suggested by our waiter. Dessert was perhaps one of my favorites, described as “crunchy chocolate, creamy with peanuts, banana gel and sorbet”. My husband enjoyed the other option of lemon verbena. The restaurant was not too crowded given it was a Sunday evening and the slow pace and hospitality shown during our meal was much appreciated! Would highly recommend!
Nice terrasse with amazing view. Food is ok - 2 menus to choose from. Good wine and champagne selection. Try and book on the terrasse if you can
