Avaliação da contribuiçãoWe had a wonderful experience at Cowboy Star. It was my boyfriend's birthday and they made it feel special! They added “Happy Birthday,” to the menu which was a nice touch! Food was amazing, service was also great!
This restaurant is busy, but the staff is very professional and so chill. The food is amazing. We sat at the bar at the kitchen and it was amazing! What a staff and they complement each other so well!
We ordered our porterhouse for two medium rare and it came out, at best, rare plus. When we called this out to our server, he was clearly annoyed and debated a bit--which should never happen in a restaurant charging this much for a steak--even if patron is crazy which isn't the case here ? the twice backed potato had No flavor--zero. Again, our server appeared super annoyed by me raising this to him. He didn't really come back to our table after that. This was not an exceptional steakhouse experience. Will try ocean prime next time.
Food was great! Prices were fair. The ambience wasn't romantic, though. There was babies crying in a booth, for example. Felt a bit too casual for celebrating. We were hoping for something closer to Born and Raised. The Waygu was great, but I recommend asking for and extra half serving—the 8oz wasn't enough for two people to share. Skip the bone marrow. Get the Mac and cheese!
My family and I went to Cowboy Star to celebrate Mother 's Day. My first thought when I walked in was this place is pretty small/it 's a bar but it does open up in the back, a little. Veronica, waitress, was very welcoming and recommended some dishes after she served me up a Cowboy Whiskey Sour (excellent). The three of us split the Caesar Salad and the Wedge. The Wedge stood out b/c of the nice, tasty cubes of bacon! From there, we went straight to the main dishes. My son had the rib eye (w/chimichurri), my wife had the T-bone (with raw horseradish), and I had the (gasp) Poached Halibut. All were cooked perfectly (med rare steaks) and tasted as good as they looked. For sides, we split the mac cheese and creamed leaks. M C was exceptional. For dessert, Veronica recommended the Banana Pudding and Sticky Toffee cake. Just looking at the menu, I wouldn 't have picked either either, but both were REALLY good. I was genuinely surprised and thankful that Veronica recommended them. I would highly recommend Cowboy Star for sure.
