Piazza 1909 - S San Diego

My brother was visiting from Colorado and I wanted him to experience some excellent Italian food and the first place that popped into my head was Piazza 1909. Our time there and our dinner could not have been better. I had the Bistecca Toscana al Tartufo. It was amazing, The Black Truffle sauce was over the top in flavor. I told my brother to go with the Branzino as it is one of my favorites here. He did and he is still talking about. All in all it was a perfect time and dinner. Will be going back again real soon. This is a must stop if you are visiting the San Diego area. I am fortunate to live here so I am to go often.

San Diego has some great Italian spots … add Piazza to the list!We had a large group with diverse diets and while we really enjoyed the food, patio and vibe … the staff really made our experience memorable!Shout out to Roberta and Chef Stefano :)Try the Piazza patio next time you're feeling Italian.

Celebrating 22nd anniversary and was not treated well. Placed in back of restaurant, hot, gnats everywhere and a rat coming out to eat hi. Service bad getting offered bread and then charged not even telling us and it was our anniversary we spent over $150 and no acknowledgment even if it was told to them. Asked for a better table and was told not available that in an hour the tables would be filled since it was held but I know when I went online there were a lot of reservations. We changed ours like 30'min before showing up. Also when we left, there were tables available in the front still. Very bad accommodations and service. Would not come back and the food was subpar, they mentioned homemade pasta, don't think the quality is worth it- North Italia restaurant tasted better than this.

Quaint La Jolla Italian restaurant. Olive bread was nice start. Lasagna was delicious. Montepulciano paired well. Homemade Cannolis and espresso finished off a nice Friday evening meal. Service was very good. This place is a find! Would certainly recommend to friends.
