E S Fish Company, Inc - Saint Charles

E S is an excellent family-owned spot for seafood. It's in a small stripmall in St. Charles on the west side of the river (across the street from Salerno's). We have been going there for years. Their roots are as a seafood market. You can still buy fresh seafood there. They expanded the restaurant a couple of years ago, so you can usually get a table. They have just a few appetizers and entrees each night, all seafood. They don't even have deserts. The seafood is outstanding, though. The ambiance is very nice, and the service is always friendly and prompt. They don't have a liquor license, so this is a BYOB spot. We always bring a bottle of wine, and there is no corkage fee. On weekends, they will have a guitar player or keyboard player with vocals. The music is always good, and the volume is appropriate to create the perfect ambiance so as not to overpower your conversations. Try it!

What a hidden gem! Friends took us to this amazing restaurant. It’s BYOB, so bring some drinks. The service we had was amazing, friendly and water glass never empty. The fresh fish selections were amazing. Tuna appetizer was amazing. Along with crab cakes and oysters. Grouper was amazing. Halibut was amazing. Scallops were amazing. This place is a hidden gem phenomenal food! Best seafood dishes. Great service. We ate there Sat, wonderful live music, brought our own wine, and both loved our fish dinners, the chefs are talented!
