Linguini - Saint-Georges-Sur-Baulche

Linguine is one of my favorite restaurants in Auxerre. Centrally located just off the Place des Cordeliers (with plenty of parking) and across from the beautiful old Hotel de Ville, Linguine is a stylish small restaurant with freshly made Italian pastas, pizzas, salads, mussels, and a nice small selection of wines. The staff is friendly and the decor fresh and modern (with wonderful velvet banquettes and black and white vintage photos of Sophia Loren, Italian vespas, and other Italian scenes. It fills up quickly (there is are tables downstairs and upstairs but both spots are tiny) so be sure to reserve in advance (even calling day of is better than just arriving and hoping they have a table). My favorite salad is the Capri, with tuna, corn, cherry tomatoes, greens, and croutons. The Caprese is delicious too. The pizzas are great. An “amuse-bouche” of a small piece of aubergine or courgette and sometimes salame or a thin slice of a saucisson drizzled with olive oil is served once your order is taken. The Linguine all Vongole is a must-try if you like clams!

We dined at this amazing restaurant last night. What a find !! The moment we sat down we fell in love. The ambience was just perfect. I am not the easiest customer as I am gluten free and this can prove difficult at times. Juliette and the chef helped me in every way possible to accommodate me and I had a beautiful meal. We also had another male server we did not get his name but he was outstanding super friendly and very attentive. We finished our meal with a lovely lemoncello prepared for us by the wonderful Yousef. What a lovely man he even gave us a masterclass of how the limoncello was made. All our meals were divine. We will most definitely be back to this restaurant with all the amazing staff. If I could give it 10 stars on Tripadvisor I would.

Nice simple restaurant in the center of the city. Pasta vongole was good. Wine was ok. We reserved a place 1 day before.

A search for an Italian on the austere, we have seen the excellent notes on the google. We wanted to test this restaurant. Here is my opinion: positive points: rather gnreux dishes, was good. large parking proximit. ngative points: plac in front of the body, the kitchen (noise place and guests passing the cold atmosphere (no music! very rare for a restaurant), very average welcome: you do not feel tired, 30 min to take our order while there is no one, no carafe deau while you ask, caf mdiocre and during the payment, we are told to goodbye and not have a good evening thank you. dcevant when we wait for a ppite in the light of all comments! balance sheet: totally overvalued at journals. 40 for 2 apro, dishes, cafs. There's much better elsewhere! We're not going back to that.

A very good Italian restaurant with good fresh products and nice dough plates. The gnocchis are excellent! very good quality price
