Avaliação da contribuiçãoThis place was recommended by the Chinese Restaurant awards. Came for a light lunch, ended up ordering a whole bunch of stuff. They offered some items that's not seen often in other Taiwanese restaurants in Vancouver. So far all the items we had today were very nicely made and tastes very authentic. Already planning on coming back for some unique items.
I first found out about this place from Richmond Night Market because of their stall with the best popcorn chicken! So naturally I had to go look for their regular store because night market is only on during the warmer months. Aside from the salted peppery chicken nuggets, I also tried their Assam milk tea,, Taiwanese red sausage on rice, and Taiwanese beef noodle with tomato. Everything was above average and cooked well whoever is the chef here knows what they're doing. <br/ <br/ The fried chicken had a sweeter flavour to it compared to other Taiwanese restaurants I preferred it this way since sweet savoury is awesome. Good chicken meatiness and well fried with crispy basil. I would definitely come back here to eat this again and try other dishes.<br/ <br/ Service was good and we didn't have to wait long for our food since the restaurant was ½ full on a rainy weeknight.
Went during at 7:45 Sunday night when it was not very busy. Food came fast and the overall service was good. I had the popcorn chicken with rice. Everything tasted just as I would prefer and everything was fresh. However it felt like there was a lot of rice and it's basically your average Taiwanese dishes without any unique kicks. I think everything is very well priced. I will come back in the future.
I visited this restaurant for a Sunday lunch with my mom. I ordered the deep fried chicken rice while my mom ordered the tomato beef tendon with beef shank noodle. Chicken was freshly made and with a hint of sweet. My mom's noodle had everything that a beef noodle should have plus salsa, i think. Service was attentive by the only sever/cashier. There is only 1 complain, the whole tomato cut in half was cold in the soup. The whole meal would be flawless giving the price point if the tomato was at least hot.
We came here for a late lunch. You will have to park on the side roads away from Oak St. The place is not too big and there seems to be a constant flow of customers. We ordered the black pepper beef rice, popcorn chicken noodle, beef fried rice, and a mayo pork pancake. The pancake was delicious. The others were pretty good as well.
