Probably the single best burger I’ve had in the Twin Cities and some of the best fried wings I’ve had in recent memory. Great service, interesting atmosphere… overall brilliant experience.
Some great flavors come out in classic Korean dishes (bi bim bap) as well as in Korean-inspired variations of burgers, wings, and poutine. Really enjoyed the mapo fries.
We have been to Juche a few times and have had great service and food. But the last time we had been there I was disappointed with their wait time and seating process. As soon as we arrived we were told there was a wait and put on a waiting list for 20 mins and informed that they would text us. We waited but never heard back while we saw others who came after us be seated ahead of us.when I went back to check i was told to wait another 20 mins. When I pointed it out that people who came after us were seated they didn't offer much explanation and basically told us that was that and we had to wait another 20 minds. and finally because I made our displeasure known they were able to give us a table. I sincerely hope they do get a better reservation system going.
Service and atmosphere were amazing, but the food was quite mid. As a Korean American, I know my fair share of good Korean and Korean fusion food, and unfortunately I think they missed the mark. There was no harmony of flavors, the flavors got old and overwhelming after a few bites, and their kalbi and grilled pork were seasoned poorly. We ordered 7 different dishes, yet the story was the same no matter what. The drinks were amazing though! I would go here for a casual meet but never for a meal again. You can find much better Korean or Korean fusion for half the price elsewhere.
