3rd Street Tavern - Saint Peter

My husband returned from Mankato to the cities. Our experience was fantastic. My husband said the Buttermilk Chicken Sandwich was the best he ever had. I had the fish and chips and it was fantastic. The service was top notch. Our server, Mande, was wonderful. Positive, outgoing and changing support for food quality. Would not hesitate to recommend this facility for a second. Keep the great service and delicious food

Celebrated 15 years of marriage with dinner here tonight. Not only was the food fabulous, but the staff was top notch!! Would highly recommend the 1/2 pound bacon plate!

Excellent place, great addition to St. Peter! We had the bacon plate as an appetizer (WHOA), the buttermilk chicken sandwich and smoked wings. Ready with a homemade dessert. I would highly recommend fun and friendly place and great service. Kudos!

Fantastic food, fantastic service. Our waiter (I wish I could remember his name!) recommended fantastic dishes and cocktails and was very attentive. This restaurant exceeded my expectations, which were first high. The Brisket sandwich I had was amazing, and I will be back to try the chicken. The only thing I could complain about is the lack of geese on their menu, which I definitely associated with a BBQ community, but the fries, baked beans and Mac and cheese helped me forget! Will be back soon!

What you want from a great BBQ restaurant; the smell of smoked meats! Great Bourbon choices like my favorite Templeton Rye, Eagles Rare, and Angels Envy. Brisket, smoked chicken, pulled pork, jalapeño poppers wrapped in bacon, and fried pickles! Pasta dishes for the carb lovers, and meat, lots of meat! I walked out in a meat coma, but feeling good. I would jazz up the sides and add a jalapeño-cheddar corn cake, or a spicy-smoked potato salad, or black bean corn fritters with a jalapeño- honey butter. Give be something unique and not easy to buy at a grocery store. Otherwise, great place!
