For a mom who brings her son to practice, carrying the clubs in his bag not only is to ensure his clubs are kept together and don't get damaged but is also easier on me!! We were told that this policy is in play because people were stealing balls! First off these are cheap balls and secondly if you are losing that many balls maybe increase your price to accommodate the loss. The price of the bucket of balls is more expensive then most driving ranges! so not sure how they are losing money. I just don't understand how you tell a golfer to go to a driving range with no golf bag. Not happy with this policy.
It's a nice driving range for when you don't want to go to a golf course. The St. Rose Driving Range is a nice spot to go when you want to take your clubs and just whack some balls. Or if you want to take your kids with you to try it out. The prices are reasonable, only $12 for a bucket of 110 balls. The range is marked well, just watch the slice over the net and into the truck stop parking lot. There is food and drinks available at the bar where you buy your token for the balls. It can be a little smokey though so beware of you are allergic or just don't like the smell.
This place is always delicious. They did cook steak a little too much. I ordered a medium rare and it came out medium well. Other than that it was delicious. Reasoning for only 4 stars. The bartender wasn't very attentive.
This is a really fun spot! My boyfriend and I were here on a Saturday afternoon just to have some fun on a lazy day. This spot is basically a bar with a driving range in the back. We hadn't eaten, so we decided to grab some lunch here before we started chipping balls (is that the term? IDK). I had a side salad and a chicken quesadilla. For a bar, the food was really good. The side salad cost about a dollar and it was basically a bowl of lettuce and tomato but, for the price, I enjoyed it. The chicken quesadilla was PACKED with big pieces of chicken and cheese and came with sour cream and red sauce on the side, in case you wanted to add it. My boyfriend had a fried shrimp poboy that was packed with shrimp and he enjoyed it. I was pretty impressed that such good food came out of a bar kitchen. After we ate, we bought a bucket of golf balls and headed out to the driving range. It's what I imagine any other driving range to be like: you stand in the box, hit the balls and there are markers that tell you how far you hit it. Well, I have never played golf before so I was pretty terrible, but I still had a good time learning the technique and practicing my swing. I was just happy to get some air on a few swings. This place is open until 11pm on weekends, so I imagine it is probably a lot of fun to come here with friends, have a few drinks and hit some balls out into the night. I will definitely come back.
