This is the best Chinese food in town. The portions are generous and every dollar spent here is worth it. The owner and staff are friendly. Keep up the good work!

The lunch specials at this restaurant are a great deal, with a refined taste and no overpowering MSG flavor. It's the best Chinese-Malay food in East Gippsland that we've tried. Overall, a very satisfying meal.

Had takeaway at Rainbow Chinese for Mothers day (During Covid-19 lockdown) We bought a variety of meals to share. All the meals were very nice We bought chinese a few weeks before which was okay but the food st the Rainbow Chinese was nicersnd $20...cheaper feeding the same amount of people Only slight down side was we ordered a sweet and sour pork which we didn't get

Called tonight as was told by another customer waiting outside for their order that their only taking phone orders. He didn’t know how he was meant to tell them he was there to pick it up. Door was locked. So I called on my mobile....Was answered. Started ordering and they hung up on me. I called back. I could hear the phone ringing from outside the shop and I could see a woman through the door. The call went to their voicemail. Called back again. Went to voicemail again. They were clearly ignoring the phone. Rude. I’ve had orders from here previously, ordered over the counter. Before Covid19. But to be hung up on and then see them ignore the phone ringing. Wow!! Coming from a rural town, my family is actively trying to support small businesses that can’t trade normally. We are ordering weekly from different businesses in the area to support them through this time. I was disappointed that they seem to think not answering a phone for an order was ok, seems it’s the only way they can trade. Rainbow Chinese is not a place I will ever go back to after this. I’ll support other businesses in the community that won’t hang up on me and won’t ignore the phone. from me. Won’t bother ordering again. Ever.

Meals are fairly ordinary and battered meats are terrible and dry. New owners don't seem to know much.
