A bit out of the way, but worth seeking out. Fresh and interesting food, with a well chosen selection of vegetables accompanying the dish I ordered and friendly service. Deserves to be busier than it was on the night I went.
My husband and I had an unplanned lunch here after a lazy two hour pause at Caliceo, just next door. We were pleasantly surprised by the food, deco and service. Hubby had a huge perfectly cooked steak with equally nice fries, and I had a plate of various types of sushi. I am Japanese American and tend to be quite fussy about how sushi is made. Despite my uncertainty, the grains of sushi rice were still whole (which is a good sign), the rice was cold but not dry, and it was well seasoned. The fish melted in my mouth. Then I tried the makis. I chewed slowly and could not identify what I was eating. Then I smelled it strawberries! Totally unexpected. My taste buds were absolutely titillated. I do not know if my mom, who is not a hyphenated Japanese, would like it, but I am still raving about it 7 months later. Go, taste, enjoy...
Chez Christopher was recommended by the hotel in which we stayed less than 100 metre away. It was a surprise to find a sushi restaurant in a location such as this, but it was very good. The food was very authentic and reasonably priced. There is also a huge selection of wines to enjoy. Will definitely visit again when in the area.
