Avaliação da contribuiçãoOur experience at Applebee's in Salisbury was unforgettable, but not in a good way. There was a noticeable change between the manager, Laurie, and the chefs. There was constant yelling and screaming coming from the kitchen for about 10 minutes. Our server explained that the previous night there was an issue with the manager misplacing keys and not being able to properly serve customers due to various issues. That night, the manager decided to yell and scream at the cooks because they were unable to prepare the orders correctly. Additionally, the restaurant was very dirty and the tables were not properly cleaned. The bartender was friendly and apologetic, but overall, the experience was not what we expected for a pleasant dinner.
I would have given this restaurant 5 stars if it hadn't been for the server, who was terrible. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was comfortable and pleasant. However, the service was lacking. The waitress was impatient, often disappeared, and only checked on us once at the end of the meal. Another waitress had to bring our check because our original waitress was nowhere to be found. It took an extra 15 minutes to finally get the bill.
My son and I came to Applebee's today after a long day of work. I ordered a meal for both of us. When the waitress brought our Caesar salad to the table, there was a live roach in my son's salad. I informed the waitress about the roach in the salad and she saw it herself. We left immediately and I will never go back to another Applebee's again.
Niq was our waitress, didn't even check us out. forever, to my margarita it was melted, the steak was not cooked at all. we didn't get any refill we wanted on our drinks. the hostess was incredibly rude to tell us we should not sit on the bar because we did not order “real” drinks. the manager was super nice and caring, but I was really disappointed. I've often been sad there.
If I could give 0 stars it would be appropriate. We had to wait a bit to put in our appetizer and drink order but understood because it was St Patty's and they were working with new staff. Our app came out and was served with no drinks and no offer of water. Half way thru app we had to ask two different staff for forks. We then asked if we could get some water while we waited for our drinks. We watched people at the bar being served their second round and a table near the bar that sat down after us receive their drinks. Still no drinks for us. Our waitress said she was fussed at by the bartender when she asked for our drinks. We were then served our entrees.... Still no drinks. We asked for the manager, who basically explained that if we had been seated in the bar section we would have gotten better service. (We weren't offered that option when we were seated or we definitely would have taken it She gave several other excuses as to why our service was less than acceptable. She promised to discount our food to help make things right. Our drinks finally came, we finished our meal.... Except for the shrimp that were water logged. We waited for the bill for quite some time. Finally arrived with no discount presented. When our waitress came to pick it up I mentioned the managers promise to discount..... We waited and waited and waited for her to return until we started feeling like we were being held hostage. Finally called her over.... She said her manager was busy on the phone with the GM. We told her to go ahead and charge full amount so we could leave.Summary: The bartender had only her own best interest in mind.... Not wanting to help the other servers with drinks. The manager, Ms. Lori, was not taking control of that situation. And the servers were all new with no experience to stand up to what was happening. One of the new employees, Peyton, who cleared our table stood out as the stellar employee of the night. Called in to cover for a fellow employee and new to the restaurant industry, he seemed to care the most about taking care of the customers and helping his team. Cudos to Peyton. Needless to say we will never return to the Salisbury Applebee's.
