Applebee's Grill - Salisbury

Love it. It was really good. Food was cooked right and drink was good too. Kids enjoyed and finished their entire plates.

We had a fantastic waitress who was excellent at her job. The appetizers we ordered, pretzel sticks and loaded waffle fries, were delicious. Our entrees were good, but not outstanding. I think they could have been better. I will definitely return to try something else and, of course, to enjoy the pretzels again.

The restaurant had excellent food and service, and wasn't too loud. We were seated quickly. The only issue was that I ordered my burger medium rare and it was served medium well, but that seems to be common in North Carolina. Overall, it was still a good experience.

I would have rated this restaurant 5 stars if it weren't for the awful server. The food was excellent and the ambiance was reminiscent of a sports bar, very pleasant. However, the service was lacking. The waitress was impatient, disappeared at times, only checked on us once at the end of the meal, and we had to ask another waitress for a drink that our original waitress brought to the table in a rude manner. It took 15 minutes to receive the bill, giving off the impression of poor service overall. Despite these issues, the other aspects of the restaurant must have been exceptional to still warrant a 4-star rating.

Our experience at Applebee's in Salisbury was unforgettable, but not in a good way. There was a noticeable change between the manager, Laurie, and the chefs. There was constant yelling and screaming coming from the kitchen for about 10 minutes. Our server explained that the previous night there was an issue with the manager misplacing keys and not being able to properly serve customers due to various issues. That night, the manager decided to yell and scream at the cooks because they were unable to prepare the orders correctly. Additionally, the restaurant was very dirty and the tables were not properly cleaned. The bartender was friendly and apologetic, but overall, the experience was not what we expected for a pleasant dinner.
