Unfortunately, I advised the waitress that I had surgery and I could not eat much, and the hospital provided card requiting that they honor the kids menu, since surgically I could not even eat that much. But insisted I can only order from the adult menu . I ordered the bagel with cream cheese. We will see if it's eatable. If not. I'm not paying

Love this place! Everyone is so nice and helpful. The food is consistently good and it has a 50’s flair with all the decor.Food: 5/5
Still the best Patty Melt in San Diego IMHO. I have tried multiple places for Patty Melts and haven’t found one better yet. Price has gone up with new ownership but the melt still tastes great. They’ve definitely remodeled the location and there are fewer of the familiar faces working there (although still a couple). I think the dining area probably could have used the refresh. I can’t tell if it necessarily resulted in more table seating but it feels roomier with the extra space created by getting rid of the old bar area that was never used. We also had the California Omelette with hash browns and a biscuit on the side. The biscuit is just huge and can definitely be shared. The omelette was made with fresh ingredients and tasty. I recommend getting the fries well done if you like them crispy. Overall a satisfying and filling meal.
