I go to school around the corner and most of the people I talked to had similar experiences. Even the teachers recommended that I don't go here. Not my loss.
Terrible place buddy asked for their top recommendation gave attitude and kicked him out for literally nothing not sure if this place is up still but now it's a open business don't recommend anyone coming if you are visiting or even if you are from San Diego i see why the place is always empty.
My friend and I were walking by the place when the owner told us rudely he wasn't opened. We thought we would stop by on our way back thru to try his food. As we were a few minutes early we sat on a bench outside his establishment when he approached and asked what the f^ we were doing on his property. We said we were wanting to get some food and he told us to get the F off his property. I'm a 65 year old man decently dressed as was my friend and we were treated horribly. With the place being in such an out of the way spot. You would think he would be more susceptive to new patrons.
Place is clean, cute and quirky. Food is good. Service was ok. Prices were very high . . . for $15 sandwich, you think you would get a couple of chips. The pierogi were decent, but definitely not what I was hoping for (like I get out east). While we were there, a non-customer came into use the restroom and the counter guy went chasing after him . . . i thought the confrontation was going to turn physical. Luckily the guy left before it did because we were in the middle of it. Glad I stopped but this place is one and done for me.
The man who took my order was rude the food was horrible 5 pierogis were not even cooked for 1599. It was disgusting. You got like a tablespoon of sauerkraut, a dollop of sour cream, which tasted horrible like it was old and the man who is working was just totally rude. I don't recommend this place to eat the pierogies anyway. The pierogies were so undercut you could see the dough was not even cooked. It's disgusting.
