One of my friends never received her meal, and we couldn't seem to find our server. In fact, she never came by to check on us at all—she didn’t ask if we needed refills on our iced tea or how we were enjoying our meals. Overall, the service from start to finish was disappointing. A good server would have noticed that one meal was missing when the others were served and would have promptly checked on it, but that wasn't the case here. After an unreasonably long wait, we had to ask another server to look into the order for us. By the time the manager finally came to our table, the rest of us were nearly finished with our meals. The manager didn’t handle the situation well and offered poor compensation for the error. I've experienced smaller mistakes at other restaurants that were addressed much better. Not only did my friend go without a meal, but the negative attitude of the staff also affected everyone's lunch and appetite.
Unfortunately, my experience was not great. My plate had an abundance of yellow squash, which isn’t my favorite. The fish had a strong fishy smell and taste, which was disappointing—halibut should never taste like that. Additionally, the preparation was lacking; it was supposed to be macadamia nut crusted, but there was hardly any of that. I've enjoyed this dish at other restaurants, and it was much better prepared there.
