I love a decent cheesesteak, yet the one at Golden Grill was bad. It seems, by all accounts, to be their unique dish. The sandwich required around 15 minutes. The roll wasn't hot nor toasted. The meat was extremely firm and intense. It accompanied a cut of cheddar, peppers, and onions. My greatest hold was the part was so little! I've had other cheesesteaks in San Francisco and the piece size of the meat/filling at Golden Grill was effectively a large portion of the size. Fries cost $4.50 a side and actually like the sandwich you just get a tiny piece. For Golden Grill to endure they need to 1) Offer feast bargain combos (for example sandwich and fries for $13). They need to have the best food on the square. Become famous, oily, cook it quicker, utilize better quality fixings, and so forth With an optimistic outlook the help was incredible!
These folks rock! Great chow! For me, any Hot Dog is good, and the choices here are plentiful and flavorful, all. And the sandwich choices. Half way through the menu so far, and all delish. The service is friendly and attentive, so very helpful. The food is excellent. Enjoy!
This place is so yummy for a good sandwich and they guy who works there is so nice. A great place to grab something to go and sit in the park or in the sun on the cute tables outside.
New shop in the castro. got egg sandwich on croissant. they have other sandwiches like philly cheesesteak. the owner cashier was nice. decent snack on Castro.
My husband and I stopped in and grabbed a couple sandwiches and some fries. I had the Club sandwich and he had the Philly cheese steak. The club was nice and toasty on both sides, with nice melty cheese in the sammiche. The fries were golden and PERFECT! The was just a touch of salt that was refreshing, since the last fries I had were McDonald's.My husband's Philly looked delicious! Melty cheese with thin sliced steak. Packed with onions and green peppers. This one man show has earned us as customers again. The next time we are in the Castro, we know where we are having lunch!!
