Avaliação da contribuiçãoI can't resist to go there every time I visit Kaiser San Leandro. They have the best Bun Rieu, Crab roe vermicelli soup (B9 on the menu), so flavorful. It is not easy to find this item in other places. Tu Tai now only have take out, no dine in. The take out package has all the ingredients, fixings and condiment. I am very happy with it. Now, I got to try the Banh Mi.
Tu Tai has the best banh mi. Warm crusty bread, lots of meat and everything is fresh. I havent been here for years but when I stopped by the other day, the lady still remembered me and their food is still just as good as it was before. Also ordered the fried egg rolls and they were hot and fresh. Very satisfied!
Small family owned restaurant. The lady there is super friendly. I love their Bun Rieu and lotus salad so tasty!
I haven't fully explored the pho offerings in the immediate area convenient to Alameda. I did try a place in Berkeley that I thought was slightly north of mediocre. Anyhow, I found this place on the way back from getting covid tested at the San Leandro Community Center. I wanted pho, wife, wanted pho, we go pho. I thought the broth had plenty of flavor and bite. I ordered the combo bowl and thought the many beef parts were of sufficiently high quality. The pho noodles had plenty of chew. And to top it all off, the slices of jalapeno were above average spicy. Compared to the San Gabriel Valley/So Cal, I thought there prices were on the high side. Compared to North California, I suppose the prices are on par. This place was tasty. I'd go back.
Prices have almost doubled compared to menu photos and the bread on my sandwich was so hard it's inedible. I took three bites and had to toss it. Do not recommend.
