Avaliação da contribuiçãoA very good place for vegetarians. many choices in the menu for dinner. noodle dishes to breakfast; assorted dishes with rice for lunch. Note that they close the day after a full moon or new moon in the Chinese moon calendar.
The most distinguishing feature of ting yuen is that it is the only veg restaurant in the sandakan area, which is open for dinner (at least from feb 2017). it is ovo-vegetarian, but most dishes seem vegan. there is a gentleman who speaks a modicum of English, who can answer questions about ingredients. each dish in the menu is offered in three sizes. even the small size is quite generous; the larger sizes are intended to divide for large groups. for two people with average appetit, sharing 3 small could be enough. we have tried five dishes, one of which was excellent (Kidney-Pilz something,) two were quite good, and two were a little simple, but fine. there is nothing healthy to drink (except water). there are signs of advertising fruit juices, but turns out that they are powdered. note the water castanien drink contains an egg.
Very nice veg Chinese restaurant for them that is in this fake meat thing! veg huhn, veg ente, veg fish, tofu and sweet. suppe, rice, curry, soy, sweet and so on. and hot and cold drinks. the owner has been vegetarian for 22 years. from rm 6 to rm 20. good price.
