La Lanterna - SANREMO

The first time we went, we stumbled on the tourist menu (25€ , starter, primi and secondi. It exists in 2 versions, fish or meat; and we picked the fish. This was one of our best experiences in a whole week in Sanremo : the starters were particularly impressive, but great was the rest too. We liked it so much, we expected great pizzas too and came back later in the week, and the pizza were perfectly fine too but they didn 't leave the same outstanding impression... So in spite of the name, the tourist menu is not a tourist trap, while the usual pizza are just usual... Tourist menu, fish version, highly recommended

A simple place with a pretty standard menu, but they do serve great pizza. Go for lunch, sit on the wall of the harbour and watch the world go by. A pretty simple model, but one that is worth exploring. €24 for a pizza, calzone and water. What more could you ask for.

We were guided here by the crazy pink guitar Gerlando, who made sure that we had good time. Wouldn't have found this one without Gerlando. The food was just excellent. But if you come here, be sure that you'll get limoncello or meloncello. It's their own production and really delicious. Thank you for feeding us and having us here!

I haven't been there for a few years, I found the prices very replenished. The quality of good food, but the poor quantity, my branzino was almost invisible, I would say a third of what is usually served. I asked not to bring the wine right away, so I had to ask it sometimes after they had brought me the fish, with the result of having it in half dinner, besides for a glass of white the choice was only one, a little bit if compared to the cost of the fish. Sure from the terrace the view is beautiful, but I don't think I'll come back

I don’t understand the bad reviews ! This is place is my go to when in Sanremo. The quality of the fish is perfect, it does come from the fish market right in front of the restaurant. Frozen fish ? Never seen this here ! The waiters are really nice, and the service is fast but no pushy ! Overall the price/quality ratio is great. I went here the 1st time with a friend, then an other one with my ex, then family and they all loved it. My family even goes without me know (and we are used to go to gastronomic restaurant we do recognize when something is not fresh or not homemade). So I don’t know there all those bad comments come from but I’m really surprised to see this thus I needed to share my experience.
